That’s brilliant! And [sigh] [cringe] actually pretty accurate…
At our graduation, the guest speaker was telling us about her life and successes due to being a C U grad, and mentioned she’d done a PhD in Ling (one of a few post-grad quals) - and then went, “not that it was useful for any of my subsequent roles”. All the Ling grads (all 6 of us), went, “Gee… thanks… now you tell us”
But hey - we have jobs that are better than “Would you like fries with that”! Really, they are!

Yeah I got ‘would you like fries with that’. Not that I did linguistics but it’s all the same on your CV isn’t it?
