I think I spend too much time reading concise summaries of things on the internet, and not enough time reading prose explorations of the same.

I feel the same. It’s especially bad when you’re looking for info on, say, a movie. Point-by-point plot summaries are *not* the same as an in-depth essay on a particular theme or character.
