Who?

I live in Christchurch, New Zealand. This year, I finally caved and re-enrolled at University; I’m doing a Graduate Diploma in Arts majoring in English at the University of Canterbury. This’ll give me entry into postgrad English…my tentative plan at the moment is to do a Master of Fine Arts in English (in 2010), then either pursue a writing career or go the whole hog, do a PhD and become an English lecturer. I also work part-time as the administrator for the Delta Community Support Trust, a local social services organisation.

I like to think deeply about things and then write about them. But I’m quite disorganised and easily distracted and don’t end up writing very often, something I shall have to work on. Some of the things I like to think about and read about are: guitars, social justice, some areas of psychology, Jesus, simple living, art, music, the Open Source movement, gardening, hardware hacking and cooking. Note that though I’m interested in these topics, I may or may not have a clue about any of them.
